Your first stop should be Temppeliaukion, the church of the rock. Two brothers who were both architects built this church during the late 1960s. This is few of the churches in the world that is built in solid rock. It has a stone wall made from a hole in the granite and a metallic dome ceiling that houses over 180 pieces of glasses.

The second stop is Senaatintori, the senate square. The square shelters the palace of the senate as well as the main building of a university both of which were designed by a famous architect in Finland. The centre of the square showcases the Emperor Alexander II’s statue and with a neo-classical design, it is considered one of the most splendid squares in the whole of Europe.
